Education

Educational attainments include the following:

  • M Com Human Resources Management - RAU
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Marketing - Unisa
  • B Com and B Com Honours in Industrial Psychology - RAU

Variety of short courses including Strategic Human Resources Planning at Michigan University, Process Facilitation with Christo Nel and Max Schupbach, Systems Thinking, Cynefin training with IBM, and a variety of functional specific courses.

Corporate Career

Absa (March 1996 – Feb 2006)

Progressed from HR Consultant to Group Consultant at GM level, worked across the entire Group, from being dedicated to Corporate & Merchant and Commercial to fulfilling Group-wide accountability.

Areas of expertise during tenure include:

· Executive Assessment and Coaching, including CEO successor assessments and Senior  Executive placements and coaching

· Policy provision and process reviews for Talent and Performance Management and Recruitment & Selection across the Group,

· Establishing and representing an Organisational Architecture function on Group level,

· Establishing a Change Enablement function for large scale organizational change and Strategic Programmes in the Group, this includes being the HR team lead for the Absa/Barclays integration team pre-and post the merger, 

· Project based Transformation within Human Resources, including leading two major internal HR Restructurings to enable shared services, and

· Generalist HR work,  

Was also on the Absa HR Executive Team since 1 April 2000 and served on a variety of Group wide Steering Committees for large scale organizational change.

Coopers & Lybrand  (Jan 1988 – Feb 1996)

Tenure included a variety of HR positions, ranging from Officer at Theron Du Toit to National HR Manager for Coopers & Lybrand. Areas of specialization include assessment centres and soft skill curricula development.
